Wolverine Wednesday: Two Former Wolverines Pick New Teams

Dan Villari who played his high school football in New York is transferring to Syracuse.   Which should be a great opportunity for both parties.   Syracuse is a good academic school, plays its football in the ACC, and needs a QB with 4 years of eligibility.   Dan now has 2 years under Harbaugh and got a few snaps on the #3 team in the nation this year.   Its sounds like a perfect match.

We really never got to know Darion Green-Warren who I don't believe had any snaps outside of special teams.  He was a 4-star CB out of California and now gets to head a bit closer to home, as his next destination is in the Moutain West Conference for the Nevada Wolfpack.    That program has a new head coach from Oregon and always seems to be very competitive.  Best of luck DGW!

  • Nothing new on the Harbaugh front, word is he is doing his job and out recruiting.   The Giants fired their head coach last night and there was some consideration that might be a preferred destination for Jimmy.
  • 5 Alabama players jumped into the portal the day after the NC loss.
  • TE Schoonmaker is coming back to Michigan.   Was he thinking NFL or boat maker?
  • Speaking of the nation championship game, it had one of its lowest numbers ever (not counting 2020).   These clowns can't figure out the playoff system with non-competitive semi-finals, not enough teams, games on New Year's Eve, and a Monday night final.   To me that is a complete clown show and they are leaving Billions on the table.  This is going to get more complicated with NIL moving forward.

I couldn't watch the NC because of when it was scheduled. I had to get up very early the next morning so staying up late was out of the question. Besides, I wasn't really thrilled with either of the teams. Only a special idiot would schedule the NC game on a weeknight. IMO, either Friday or Saturday night would be better.
