Big Ten Week 3 Preview

Last week was a really bad week for the Big Ten West and the overall match-ups were terrible.  Scott Frost even lost his job.  The Award for Nebraska is to host #6 Oklahoma.   This week has some interesting Power 5 games.

#11 MSU @ Washington (-3.5): MSU heads west and takes on a new Washington Huskies squad with a new head coach and QB.   The Spartans are the better team but a road dog.  It could be an intresting game.  MSU 31 Washington 21

#22 Penn State (-3) @ Auburn: Not a bad game as PSU goes on the road.  This isn't a great Auburn team but going on the road to the SEC is tough.  Auburn 21 PSU 17

#6 Oklahoma (-11) @ Nebraska: I think the Black Shirts will play hard after a difficult week but Nebraska doesn't have the talent.  It sure as hell would be ironic if they get the program changing win days after Frost is fired.  OK 38 Nebraska 21

Purdue @ Syracuse (-1):  The Cuse is better this season and Purdue is decent week to week.  Syracuse 24 Purdue 20

Colorado @ Minnesota (-27.5): The Buffalos are 0-2 and Golden Gophers are 2-0.  Minnesota 40 Colorado 14

Toledo @ #3 OSU (-32): I would be very careful with this game.  I don't think the Buckeyes are in any threat of losing this game, but it could be uncomfortable in the 1st half.   OSU 31 Toledo 13

Rutgers (-17.5) @ Temple: Aren't these the same team?  I think Rutgers is a bit better.  Rutgers 28 Temple 13

WKU @ IU (-6.5): Are the Hoosiers back?  This could be another upset special.  WKU 28 IU 27

S. Illinois @ Northwestern: No line = No watch.  NW 19 SIU 14

New Mexico State @ Wisconsin (-37) Is Jerry Kill doing some type of tour through the Big Ten?  Wisconsin gets right and never passes.  UW 45 NMS 3

Nevada @ Iowa (-23): Has the game passed Kirk Frentz bye?  The answer is yes.   How can Iowa be a 23-point favorite, when we know they will only score 7 points?  Nevada 10 Iowa 7

SMU @ Maryland (-2.5): This would be a good scouting game to watch.  Probably won't: Maryland 21 SMU 20

I've got an old school view - want all B10 teams to win all of their games, other than against us. A strong conference that we dominate is the way. So (sadly?) I even am ok when bucknuts win most games.

Why all the tough games on the road? I kinda like Michigan's schedule this year after looking at a sure loss for Sharty on the road against Washington. State's whole team last year was Kenneth Walker and last I checked, HE GONE! Washington- 38, MSU 9.

Be interesting how MSU travels. B1G generally don't do well going out to the west coast. I don't think the Huskies are very good, but they are at home. If PSU loses to Auburn, then we know its a really bad B1G this year. The west is total garbage. Iowa & Wisconsin are setting football back 70 years with their offenses. Okie is going to take Nebraska to pound town don't care if its a rivalry game. Nebraska AD made the mistake that Warde almost did. Should of just dumped Frost after last year, but I guess he thought he might have a Jim Harbaughesque season. Not so much! Maryland/SMU could be entertaining! The rest of the games are MEH at best.

Chowman- Ya, boring Big10 this year. Looks like it's back to the 'Big 2 and Little 8' as it was known back in the Bo days. Lol I still love me some college football and will be watching with beverage in hand.

This is college football guys. Nothing is boring and I like some have up and down year. That's what makes college football so exciting. An unexpected team will rise from the ashes and sit on a throne the following season. Can we just have our Good Guys sit on the throne every year like Bama, GA, and OSU?

Brady, agreed, love college over profootball. Michigan Man, yeah, Iowa is boring. They are unwatchable. Look I'm always up for a good defensive matchup, but Iowa's offense is offensive to the corneas.
