Michigan did get a 1st round draft pick last night as the Cowboys picked up Mazi at pick 26. This should be a good fit for both sides, as the Cowboys need defensive lineman and Mazi is a talented one. If Smith can take his game up a couple levels he is going to have a long NFL career. Congratsulations Mazi!
I guess we figured out how the Texans feel about the S2 test as CJ Stroud goes #2 overall in the draft. The guy that many predictied would go #2 Will Levis is still waiting to be drafted. One QB throws an accurate ball and scored low on the S2, the other guy doesn't throw an accurate ball and scored high.
Now to the Lions, I thought they got 2 very good football players. I just think they took both way too early. Both players would have been available in the 2nd round if the Lions wanted to move around to get them. Drafting a RB in the 1st round is risky buisness unless they're a top of chart elite like an Adrian Peterson. If they had kept #6 they could have taken Robinson at RB or a top tier defensive player. I didn't hate what they did, I just didn't love it. The Eagles played in the Super Bowl and had a better first round then the Lions did.
I expect we will see DJ Turner get drafted fairly early tonight and maybe even an outside chance at Schoonmaker later in the evening.
- Jaelin Llewellyn has been granted a medical hardship waiver and will return to Michigan Basketball next season.

yeah both were reaches. I really like Jack Campbell, but I'm pretty sure he'd of been there at 34. As far as Gibbs, just no value in drafting a RB that high. Would he of been there at 18? Maybe, maybe not, but so what. With guys like Zach Charbonet, Chase Brown, Mo Ibrahim, Kendre Miller, to name a few, there was no hurry in drafting a RB. I would of loved it if they drafted Lukas Van Ness at 12 and either Gibbs if he was there or if not, then still take Campbell.
a bit of a head scratcher in that the Lions had the #4 offense in the NFL last year and dead last defense. Could have taken solid picks at 6 and 18 and upgraded the D in one season.
I am stunned with Gibbs at 12. Maybe the Lions feel he will be a two way player? He will take rep's at LB and RB? :)
Sorry gents - that last comment was me. Not sure why it was reflected as unknown?
