Michigan Monday: Looking For Quiet

Michigan is currently on bye week and after last week, I think everyone needs it.  I hope we don't hear about Connor Stalions dark web network of college football spies or Harbaugh buying a recruit a hamburger during COVID.  Maybe the NCAA should just hire Michigan Man Oz Pearlman and they will know everything everyone is thinking.

Michigan's schedule this year comes down to November and that is not a surprise to anyone.  The trips to Penn State and Maryland will be tough and then the match-up with Ohio State at the Big House.   Michigan will need to take care of a trap game as the frisky Boilermakers comes to the Big House before all that happens.   Not only is it a trap game but it will be coming off a bye.

I don't think anyone came away impressed watching the OSU and PSU offenses execute on Saturday.  Yes, both defenses looked strong, but the playing calling on both sides left little to be desired.  If OSU doesn't have a high draft pick at WR, they still might be playing.   I believe Michigan is clearly the best team in the Big Ten and now can they go on the road and beat OSU at home to prove it?

  • So MSU had a bad weekend:  Hitler situation, getting blown out by it's in-state rival, and then Dan Enos gets fired from Arkansas.  Maybe a candidate for the next head coach in East Lansing?
  • A recent survey by the Athletic has shown that nearly 50% of the respondents don't like Pat McAfee on College GameDay.  Pat has taken that to heart and is considering leaving the show after this year.  His contract expires at the end of the season.
  • Sounds like JJ celebrated National TE Day a few hours early.
  • Ronnie Bell on MNF Tonight!
  • GRIII signed a 2-way with the Bucks.  Dad of course was the former #1 pick of that franchise.
  • Utah's Cam Rising will not play this season, so he can work on his Vegas Magician act.
  • Derek Jeter threw some shade on Fox Baseball at MSU fan John Smoltz after Michigan's large victory this weekend.

Regarding Pat McAffee, I don't know how comfortable a lot of people are looking at a grown man in a tank top. Maybe more appropriate attire would win some more people over.

I saw the Jeter/Smoltz ribbing. It was light hearted and all in fun (The Victors was heard in the background). Smoltz said that he would root for Michigan if they made it to the playoffs. Classy guy!

Why isn't anyone talking about MSU putting the Michigan Band in the upper deck? Not a funny stunt. Someone needs to explain, and someone needs to lose a job over this. Total innocent pawns. Uncalled for.

After watching the PSU/OSU game, I didn't come away impressed with either team, particularly the offenses. Both QBs are average at best and that's being generous! The difference was McCord has the best WRs in college football and Allar has nobody. Both teams seem to have solid defenses, but how much can you tell, when both QBs are meh and because of that, both coaches went vanilla in play calling at times during the game. Of the up coming games, the one that concerns me the most is the Maryland game. That game is the definition of a trap game, and Lil' Tua might be the best throwing QB Michigan will face on the conference schedule.

Every week teams stack the box trying to stop the run and force JJ to beat them with the pass. Then he does. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

I am sorry to inform you MichiganMan and Co. that it's over rover!

I do not see Jim being with us past this year ....but they got the goods on Michigan It's all over but the screaming.

Jim says he knows nothing about the scandal, but to me that's worse than if he implied he was part of it. Only a dipstick would have not noticed what was happening, Jim should resign if he knew nothing because it was in front of his nose.

To educate you people, a gulley gulloo is a strange rare bird, (but not as rare as you think ....the author of this blog (much appreciated for his efforts) .... became a gulley gullooo bird (hoping this story would just float away0. but a gulley gulloo bird sticks his head in the sand and talks out of his ass!

We ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE (loss) of scholarships, vacate wins, no more Jimmy, kind of like MSU losing TUCKER ... although Jimmy was more pious!

No, I am saddened by this, but you must pay the price for misdeeds. You cannot stand on an orange crate and preach, the gospel without owning your own misdeeds.

In case you're wondering they found out (the culprit) bought tickets to 30 big ten games, the two seats were empty for the Ohio state/Penn State game (lol) because they have been had, they have ample video of people in those two seats phone recording the sidelines the whole game.

For you religious folks that believe in Angels and such, break out the beads and start praying. Jimmy has already got the NCAA in an uproar now they will seek extreme justice.

Froglips- Wow are you Mr. Gloom and Doom or what? You're probably afraid of your own shadow. Since you obviously never played the game, what Michigan (and every single other football team in the country) does is called scouting. When you're good like Michigan, people will attack you from all angles to bring you down. This is no different, and just a technicality. Its is a LEVEL 3 infraction. Read my lips, Froglips. a LEVEL 3 infraction. So grow a pair and stop worrying. GO BLUE!!
