Wolverine Wednesday: Collusion = Losing

One of Michigan's strategies to not get penalized by the Big Ten right now, is to provide proof how common sign stealing is in the Big Ten.  Michigan has evidence that Rutgers and Ohio State shared Michigan signals with Purdue prior to the Big Ten Championship.  ESPN who has been running to post (many times non-accurate) information about Michigan, finally picked up this story last night.  As you know, the Worldwide Leader lost the Big Ten contract and Game Day is not in Happy Valley this weekend.  Coincidence? I think not.

Funny how these stories or programs didn't report this when it was happening against Michigan.  Of course, none of it mattered and Rutgers, OSU, and Purdue lost to the Wolverines last season.  OSU and Purdue without Michigan's best offensive player. Collusion must go against the sportsmanship policy, no?

I don't know how this is going to play out and if the Big Ten is going to review Michigan's response or just levy a penalty today or tomorrow.  Anything more than a fine, this gets ugly, this gets legal, and takes away from a great match-up this weekend.  Part of me still believes that Michigan and the Big Ten came away with an agreement on Sunday and both know what is going to happen next.

  • Connor is an interesting dude and was doing vacuum repair in his spare time and his HOA complained about the number of vacuums he had on his front porch.  Why do so many people in Ann Arbor need vacuum repair?  Or maybe it's that scenario from Breaking Bad?
  • Michigan Basketball got off to a nice start last night by blowing out UNC-Ashville at home.
  • ESPN is reporting the NCAA and Big Ten does not believe Ryan Day was tied to the Private Investigation firm that illegally accessed Michigan's network.  The rumor mill is saying there are ties to Ohio State.
  • Warde decided to skip the CFP so he can focus on this situation.  This really shouldn't even be a story.  Of course, he did.
  • Speaking of the CFP the ranking remained unchanged.

"On Monday (Nov. 6), Yahoo Sports indicated that the NCAA’s findings did not connect Harbaugh to the in-person scouting and recording of opponents’ sidelines operation allegedly led by former recruiting analyst Connor Stalions."

Doesn't mean much in terms of punishment, as he's the coach. But still a good headline.

This whole story stinks. And honestly, I'm so bummed that Bucknut is back with this fire Jim and hire Urban shit.

Thanks Bob and to everyone with the fantastic insight on this matter. I don't even waste my time reading anywhere else. All fake news and hyperbole.

If Harbaugh knew nothing about this guy doing anything why should he be suspended at all? And if Purdue, Rutgers and that school down south we're sharing our signals what the heck's going on here?? NO talk about suspensions for those coaches!!

Apparently conner also listed Corum as a co-owner of a biz in WY, and Corum is like "ah no". Seems like a weird dude

I hope Michigan dresses in all white Saturday. Don't fight the atmosphere, embrace it and win. Go Blue!
