Michigan at 9:30 AM on Wednesday received signed paperwork from Alabama transfer DT Damon Payne. The celebration started only to be squashed a few hours later when that signature and paperwork was voided. Damon is a former instate 5 star DT that has had trouble seeing the field with Bama's talented roster. He has one more year before the NFL Draft and needs snaps and stats. Michigan being his hometown team with a huge opportunity seemed to be a great fit.
Why was the paperwork voided? Hard to say, most speculate it was Damon's agency. Either way, Damon did commit and signed his official paperwork last night. He is now offically a Michigan Wolverine (we think). Welcome big man! I like the thought of Guy, Payne, Barham, and Moore next year.
- Michigan will also host another QB this weekend in Fresno State Mike Keene.
- This is exciting, Bryce will participate in his first practice as a Wolverine today.
- Michigan Basketball again lost at the buzzer. They are close but still need to figure out a way to win these close games.
- Former Michigan place kicker Adam Samaha has signed with Chapel Bill!
- This won't come as a surprise to anyone Mason Graham is a unanimous All American!
- Should we sound the alarm that Michigan hasn't signed a punter yet? 😀
- QB's are always in high demand in the portal but I'm not sure even QB's can match Purdue's TE Max Klare interest from many teams.

In the end, I think Damon wanted to be a Wolverine, but his representation wanted to hold out for the high NIL deal
Think the reason Sherrone Moore hasn't gotten a punter is he's just going to pull a Dan Gamble and just go for it all the time?
Funny you should say that. We have a local high school team around here who runs a triple option much like Army and they never punt unless they're down, field positon and distance is just crazy. They pick up three or four yards every play. It's hard to tell where the balls going and who the center is going to snap it to and these guys will go on a long eight nine minute marches. So when you get the ball back you got to score because you're not going to get very many opportunities to do so. Fun to watch but frustrating for opposing coaches...
Mich Defense next year = Moore Payne!
QB Brendon Lewis is visiting this weekend, too. Look for an announcement on Monday between Keene, Lewis, and Huckleberry Finn.
Dusty has to foul when up 3 and seconds to go.
After rumors of Ohio St giving TCU Michigan's plays and signals back in 2022, I will no longer automatically root for other Big10 teams in Bowl games. Fuck those guys. I'll root for Indiana over N.D., tho.
Szenreno- I'd love to watch a well coached team like that.
I don't think that I have EVER rooted for any other Big Ten teams in Bowl games.
Definitely not Ohio St and Michigan St. The others depend on things like James Franklin. I hate that guy. So you're right, there's not too many I root for, either. Lol
I like that!
