The "other" Big Ten Games Preview

As you know this is the time of the week, I give you my predictions on what will happen in the Big Ten outside the Michigan game. This week there is one game that will decided the conference champion and a trip to the BCS Rose Bowl and 4 other games that don't really mean much. So you may ask yourself; why read the rest of this post? For my witty insights of course!

On Friday you will see "the game" preview. Should be a fun day being the Game eve and all.

Northwestern at #19 Illinois: Northwestern comes off a nice win over IU and Illinois beat some team in Ohio last week (I think it was Youngstown State). Illinois is finally heading to a bowl and Northwestern at 6-6 probably isn't. Look for the Juice to run loose in this one as Illinois make their stake for a New Years Day Bowl. Northwestern 17 Illinois 31

Purdue at Indiana: This is an interstate battle that never means anything except for some in-state trophy. The old Oak and Bucket maybe? Either way, Purdue at one point had a nice season going and then they ran into folks that could play football. IU is dreaming of a bowl game and would love to be 7-5 instead of 6-6. I think IU will play to win in this one even though Purdue is the better team. Purdue 21 IU 28

Penn State at MSU: If Michigan State is Michigan's little brother then Penn State is their step brother. This was a rivalry that the Big Ten tried to force on us when Penn State joined the Big 11. For my money they maybe should have picked Wisconsin instead, but that's just me. Who knows which MSU team will show up? The one that lost 4 out of 5 Big Ten games or the one that just posted 40+ points on Purdue last week. Either way Penn State is the better team in this very physical battle. Look for PSU to win a close one. Penn State 31 MSU 28

Wisconsin at Minnesota: Anyone that plays Minnesota wins the game. Wisconsin wins easier then a trip to the Mall of America: Wisconsin 42 Minnesota 10

It's the final week of the Big Ten season and Yes there is a non-conference game! Western Michigan at Iowa. Nice scheduling.

2 Days until - The Game.
