Ex-MSU Star owes the Lions $8.5M!

So the Lions finally won something. An Arbitrator today ruled that Charles Rodgers owes The Detroit Lions $8.5M in bonus money. The Ex-MSU WR defaulted on the deal when he was suspended by the NFL for violating its substance abuse policy in 2005

I'm not sure any of you remember when Charles picked MSU over Michigan, but on that day I was listening to Sports Radio and the comments on Stoney and Wojo show were as follows. "This guy is a un-believable talent but at the age of 18 he already has a child and has been shot once"

So you can make your own conclusions on that one.

Recently, Charles was also supposed to play for a CFL team but never signed the contract or reported to camp.

Now he is living somewhere near Saginaw and owes his former employer $8.5M. My guess is he doesn't have it.

Another case of wasted talent with terrible decision making.
