Michigan Recruiting Weekend Round Up

With signing day only a few days away, you can start to get an idea on which way a recruit might be leaning. Here are a few bullets on recent news for some Michigan recruits:

  • Pearlie?: Pearlie Graves is a 4 star DT from Tulsa who has been a "soft" commit to the Wolverines, but Michigan was thought to be competing against Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas Tech for his services. Many thought playing for Bob Stoops would be Pearlie's first option and Pearlie was planning a weekend visit to Oklahoma. Then this happened: Tulsa East Central defensive lineman Pearlie Graves apparently no longer holds a scholarship offer to Oklahoma, according to the recruiting Web site Rivals.com. Graves, a four-star recruit, had been planning to take an official visit to OU this weekend. This article also predicts that Pearlie will head to A2 to play football.

  • Stoke the Fire?: Je'Ron Stokes the 4 star WR, that many believe will go Big Blue next week, was getting a late charge from Georgia and the coaches were hoping to get him to Athens this weekend. But like Pearlie, Je'Ron didn't make the trip. Also, two wide receiver prospects who had been rumored to be considering last-minute recruiting trips to Athens, Je’Ron Stokes of Philadelphia (committed to Tennessee) and Nu’Keese Richardson of Pahokee, Fla., (committed to Florida) also did not make it to Georgia.

  • Mr. Washington?: Quinton Washington a 4 star OT is rumored to be down to Michigan and South Carolina. Hopefully he will decide before signing day. QW is visiting Miami this weekend and they could make a late charge but most believe this is a two horse race.

  • 2 for 1 on signing day?: Denard Robinson a 4 star QB from Florida and teammate Adrian Witty, DB will announce their college choice on signing day at 11:00. Many believe this combo will be heading to Ann Arbor! Let's hope they do.

  • Sam I am? Sam Montgomery is a very busy man and will have to make a difficult choice on signing day on ESPN. He is visiting Tennessee this weekend and is also still considering Clemson, Michigan, North Carolina and LSU. Many believe UNC is the leader, but they are way over the 25 scholarship limit which might not appeal to Sam. I guess we will see on Wednesday!

Oh how you're so UNinformed.

Pearlie switched his commitment, albeit quietly, to Texas Tech 2 weeks ago.

Your recruiting info is turrrrrrrrible.
