Michigan Football Recruiting Blitz

More like zone coverage today as many of the un-committed prospects are now focusing on their senior year of high school football and while putting recruiting on the back burner for a few weeks. (HT: Mgoblog)

  • The best punter in the nation Will Hangerup will visit Ann Arbor for the Michigan - Indiana game. Which will be the last visit for him. Hopefully, he leaves Ann Arbor with the "best" and "freshest" feeling of all his visits. As you know, Zoltan graduates to the NFL next year and Michigan needs a punter in this class. It seems like it's Will or a walk on at this point.

  • Duke verbal LB Aramide Olaniyan is still planning on taking visits and it seems Michigan will be one of his stops.

  • It seems safety/wr Bobby Swigert has narrowed down his list to a final 4: Stanford, Michigan, Nebraska and Boston College.

  • A good story on Kevin Koger and Elliott Mealer who are gunning for playing time this year. Kevin will get a lot, Elliot most likely will have to wait until next year.

  • Cullen Christian has been a strong lean for Michigan for some time. Which is good and bad. The good is he is saying this like this: IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYBODY EXPECTS YOU TO CHOOSE MICHIGAN. ARE YOU CLOSE TO PULLING THE TRIGGER AND COMMITTING? Yeah, Michigan is No. 1, but I probably won't make my decision until sometime during the season. I don't know how close I am to pulling the trigger. The bad is that the longer it takes him to commit the more time other schools have to change his mind. Michigan needs him, so let's hope he commits soon.

  • Florida CB Tony Grimes has a final 3 of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Mississippi.

  • 6"1 195-pound four-star safety/running back from California, Dietrich Riley says Michigan is recruiting him to play running back.

  • Uniontown, PA running back Arnold Walker is getting some interest from Michigan.
