Michigan Tuesday: Recruiting News Catch Up

With Michigan going double bubble on the defensive line this weekend, other recruiting news got past us.  Today I will try to catch up on some news we missed as we welcomed Mr. Hurst and Mr. Poggi to the Wolverines.

  • Laquon Treadwell was named the WR MVP at the Illinois Nike camp this weekend.  He also got an invite to the opening.  He named a top 7 with pretty much the regulars.  I don't see his recruitment ending anytime soon.  He seems to love the process and is planning a trip to Oklahoma.

  • Jordan Wilkins a RB that is planning a Michigan visit loved Auburn this weekend and all most committed.  Jordan would like to make a decision before his season starts.

  • Safety prospect Leon McQuay III has a final 3 list that includes:  Michigan, USC and Vandy.  All three finalist are there because of their music department.  Leon wants to be a music producer and really liked Michigan's music program when he visited.   Walk-on QB Jack Kennedy has the same major and might play a big role in Leon's recruitment.   A decision is not close and probably will come during the football season.

  • Su'a Cravens is announcing his decision on Wednesday.   Michigan and OSU are in his final group.  He is an USC lock.

  • Jake Butt was also at the Illinois Nike camp but did not get an opening invite.   Ty Issac did and so did Michigan CB commit Jourdan Lewis.

  • LTT is now not planning to transfer high schools, but is planning to graduate and enroll early in Ann Arbor.   So is Kyle Bosch.
