Michigan Thursday: More News and Notes Bullets

  • Shane Morris gets his second 5 star rating from a recruiting service.  The latest to jump on the Shane 5 Star wagon is 24/7.   So if your keeping score at home he is a 5 star on Scouts and 24/7 a 4 star to Rivals and ESPN.

  • Remember I asked a question on whether Leon McQuay had seen the Jack Kennedy and Joe Reynolds music video?  Well it seems they have done much more then that.  Leon has been working with them on a couple tracks.  That has to be a positive sign for the Wolverines.   Leon can't make it up for the BBQ because it conflicts with The Gridiron Kings at Disney but does want to come up for an official during the season.

  • Denard Robinson, Taylor Lewan and Jordan Kovacs will represent Michigan at the Big Ten Meetings July 26& 27 in Chicago.   Congrats to Taylor since this honor usually goes to a senior.

  • Khaliel Rodgers name has been popping up for some time now.  He was originally a Michigan OL prospect  before the 2013 class got filled at that position (he did not have a Michigan offer) and then there was some chatter if one of Michigan's recruits de-committed he would jump on board.   He committed to USC yesterday, which is a loss to OSU (which only has 1 committed OL in the 2013 class to date).

  • Corey "Not Missing" Person will be back for a 5th year on John Beilein's squad.  Many had thought that he wouldn't be back becuase he had graduated and wasn't a regular game contributor.   But it seems Corey's value to the team comes in leadership on and off the floor and during practice.  With a young team Coach B must had thought leadership was something they were going to need.
