Wolverine Wednesday: 1 Out Of 11 Isn't Too Bad

  • Phil Steele has Michigan  1 of 11 teams that could win the NC next year.  MSU is also on that list.

  • Last seasons Michigan - ND game is up for ESPN's College Football Game of the year.

  • Rivals Mike Farrell is tough on a few Wolverines in his Opening Awards mostly on Taco: This award goes to the player who lowered his stock the most from the camp. While Pickerington (Ohio) Central defensive end Taco Charlton looks the part, he really struggled. He has great size, long arms and he is very athletic. However, he is also very upright, only has an outside move and when coaches tried to teach him misdirection or crossover, he didn't grasp it well at all. He was beaten on almost every 1-on-1 rep he took.

  • Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway were recognized as some of the best players at the LeBron Camp this past weekend.

  • Here are all of the Big Ten Bowl tie In's for this season.  The only change is the Insight Bowl is now called "Valley of the Sun" Bowl.

  • U of M is putting out a 4 pack of tickets to some home games this year, they will go on sale 7/24.   Here are the details.

Mike Farrell has an interesting perspective, because Taco tweeted a picture of the Defensive Lineman 1-on-1 scorecard that showed the most "wins" and he tied with A'Shawn Robinson for the most. Interesting that Farrell says "he was beaten on almost every 1-on-1 rep he took."

I also saw that about Taco. He also couldn't wear pads due to the Ohio rule about putting on pads before HS football camp starts.
