Michigan Friday: Welcomes New 5 Star TE to Ann Arbor

The worst kept secret in Michigan recruiting was that 5 Star TE Chris Clark was going to commit to Michigan at Nike's Opening in a couple weeks.   He has been on a tour of his finalists which included East Lansing, Columbus and Ann Arbor so he could confirm his decision.

So why commit yesterday then do it on TV at the opening?  "Just the fact I want to have the opportunity to recruit at The Opening," Clark said, "I want to let people know I'm at Michigan and I'd like to tell people they're building big things at Michigan and tell them to be part of it.

"I just feel so good at Michigan. I thought it would be a great day to do it with my mom and dad here."

Clark is rated as a 5 star prospect by Scouts and a 4 star by all the other services.  He is already 6'6 and 247 pounds going into his senior year of high school.   His offer list has pretty much everyone on it, including the likes of Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, LSU, FSU and everyone else.  He is rated as the #26th player in the country by Scouts and in the top 100's by the other services.

He seems like a perfect fit for Michigan offense and currently attends the private school Avon Old Farms in CT.

Clark is the 8th player to commit to the Wolverines in the 2015 class.  This class will be in the 15-16 range with the biggest needs still at DE, RB, WR, CB and Outside LB.

It has been a good week for the Wolverines in landing their future QB and a walking miss match at TE.
