Michigan Tuesday: Please Stop

This must what football hell feels like.   Michigan can't execute on the field or off.    Please see below:

This photo was taken at the Michigan Student Union by a student and posted on the Mgoblog message board.   That's right folks it has gotten so bad that you can buy two cokes and get two Michigan football tickets for free.

This story is all over ESPN and ESPN radio.  Michigan Football and Coke are saying there was some miss-communication in the promotion.    Which means nobody thought this "little promotion" would ever make it so public.

So in a matter of days, Brady Hoke has managed to end his Michigan Football career and now David Brandon has joined him on the sinking ship.   The incompetence is running at epic levels right now.

  • Greg Henson from WTKA has sources that Brandon will be removed before a head coach is hired.  That Brandon has lost all support from the Regents, Alumni and former players and that the top coaches will not work for him.
Hoke Speak:
  • Big Ten Championship has always been the goal.
  • The starting QB could be announced on Wednesday
Please Stop

DB could have at least thrown in a dominos large pizza with ham, pepperoni and mushrooms, with the two cokes.

Everything seems to be wrong these days - tried to buy a bag of peanuts Sat and was told that they don't sell them anymore....And when I paid way too much for the special cup was told that I couldn't get free refills with it any more....Don't know if this is new policy, or a new girl at the concession stand.....What a disappointing season! Definitely time to forgo season tickets and go with the huge discounts!

Nice article...I'd like to believe that they will move Dave Brandon and Hoke ASAP, but that is wishful thinking. As long as DB is the AD we will continue to have BS. Brandon stated that as long as he is the AD Brady will be the coach at Michigan. Nuff said!!!

My concern is that we are seriously looking at the potential death of Michigan football if they don't soon bring in a great coach. Not necessarily a sexy name but a coach that knows what he's doing. I'm convinced that Hoke is a great guy and loves Michigan but he's swimming in the deep end of the pool like Rich Rod was and he can't swim.

Gregg Henson's article was talking about potential AD's to replace Brandon which is going to have to be a great hire as well, and that will also take a small miracle to happen. I don't think the new AD has to be a BO Schembechler disciples, just someone who knows what the heck their doing while understanding where they're doing it at. The Regents will have their hands full in making that decision and timing even with the firing and hiring of the AD is important.

I get suspicious of comments like a "reliable sources close to the situation or ...insiders who know." That could be the paperboy, the waitress over hearing part of a conversation and now they've filled out the rest of the story themselves. Not all sources are created equal, but goodness knows I hope Henson's right about this. IMHO!!!

I was put off by the ADs press release on this Minnesota ticket debacle when DB and crew started the press release by honoring the departments relationship with Coke. How about honoring your relationship with alumni, victors Club members, and season ticket holders by making sound decisions that protect the integrity of the game day experience as well as the value if the $75 face value tickets we pay for to help you systain your unprecedented level of profit margin?!

It is one thing to do some or all of these things if they are a 10+ win team and a serious B1G title contender, but when the team is hot garbage, like Domino's pizza, it is unacceptable. It is just salt in the wounds. The program has become a circus with Brandon. To prevent any long term damage to their cash cow they have to get rid of him.
