Who Should I Root For In The NFL?

Is this the perfect storm to get Jimmy to Michigan?  That is the $8M question.  

The 49'ers don't want Jimmy but know he is an asset they could trade.   I'm willing to bet that Jimmy isn't a big fan of being traded like a back up offensive tackle.   He doesn't get to pick the team and then would have to negotiate a salary with his new team.   

That leaves going home and turning around the program he played for and grew up around.  

Reports are that Michigan has a big offer out to Jimmy and they are waiting to hear back.   Jimmy is a complex man and doesn't like distractions.  His mind is completely on beating the Seahawks in Seattle on Sunday.  

One of your questions might be:   Is there any scenario where Jimmy would take the Michigan job privately or publically before the end of the NFL season?   If the 49'ers are eliminated from the playoffs, I think he might let his mind wonder to what's next. 

That could happen as early as this weekend.   

Root for:

Arizona tonight over a good Rams (-3) team.  The 49'ers are not winning the division but it still would make the 49'ers brass pissed if they continue to drop in the division. 

Detroit (-7) over Minnesota at Ford Field.  

Seattle (-7.5) over the 49'ers. 

Dallas and Philly play each other.  So this is a push. 
The 49'ers fired their last coach as soon as they were eliminated from the playoffs.  They won't fire Jimmy, because they want some draft picks but the writing will be on the wall this weekend.  Jimmy will know it and it will be the time to give Michigan a decision.
