I went over what I expected out of this game yesterday, so I won't bore you with that again. Oregon State will have to play at 9:00 their time on Saturday. You saw how Stanford played at this same time at Northwestern last weekend. Desmond had just picked Stanford to win the NCAA Playoffs and then they sleep walk to a loss.
Tale of the Tape:
Michigan Oline vs. Blocking anyone = Block someone
OSU running QB vs. Michigan LB's = OSU QB
Michigan field goal kicking vs. Air = Air
Michigan offense vs. OSU D = Michigan
Jimmy vs. Wisconsin's old coach = Jimmy
OSU is re-building and struggled against a bad FCS team last weekend. They will spread the Wolverine defense out to run the ball. Their QB Collins is pretty explosive and will be an issue, if Durkin hasn't fixed the QB run's up the middle of the field. OSU would prefer to never pass and kept Weber State in the game last weekend with a pick 6. (sound familiar?)
Michigan has to play better and good teams show huge improvement from week 1 to week 2. The only way OSU beats the Wolverines is if their QB goes Denard on the Wolverines.
Sing Hail to The Victors if.....................
- Michigan has a running game
- A rusher with over 100 yards
- No turnovers
- Can stop OSU's running game
- Rudock is the clear #1 QB
- Collins OSU's QB runs wild
- Michigan makes it very easy for OSU to score with turn overs
- Michigan's offensive line plays poorly again
Our Wolverines struggle with knowing how to win and if they aren't careful they could let this one slip away. Michigan is the better team but OSU's strength (QB runs) is a Michigan weakness. I like that this is Jimmy's first game in the Big House and this team needs a win. I assume practice has been a bit intense this week and I don't expect effort will be an issue.
Michigan 34 OSU 21
Go Blue!
Side Note: LTT was thrown off the team yesterday. At this point, I'm not sure what happened but it must be something very recent as he played a few snaps in the Utah game. Look for Michigan to take another offensive lineman in the 2016 class. There is a rumor that a 2016 offensive lineman is close to committing.

I have lived in Oregon for several decades now and am very familiar with both the Ducks and the Beavers. The loss to Utah was against a good team. If Michigan is unable to beat OSU, and do it handily, then they are truly exactly where they were at the end of last season. OSU is a poor team.
