Wolverine Wednesday: Expects Some De-Commitments

We now know the Matt Falcon situation and it seems he will never suit up for the Maize and Blue.    I was surprised to find out Matt has another knee surgery scheduled for this December.   If he ever makes it to Ann Arbor it will be as a full time student.

Another commit there is concern about is a Brady Hoke commit in LB Dele' Harding.  Dele' committed to Michigan while the program was on fire and we haven't heard much since.  He goes to Eastern Christian Academy where recruits Freddy Canteen and Brandon Watson attended.  Rivals took him off the commit list yesterday and it seems his recruitment is up in the air.  He is still listed as highly interested in Michigan and does have an USC offer.   Sam Webb said on the radio a week or so ago that he doesn't expect him to end up in the class.

Another guy that has had one foot in the class and one foot out is local LB David Reese.  If you remember, he was a Louisville commit that committed to Michigan after the Wolverines offered.   Jimmy and staff wanted him as a FB and he preferred to play LB.  He got cold feet and started to look at Louisville again.  His dad met with Jimmy and worked it out that David could come in as a LB.  He then said he was 100% committed.  Now, Jimmy let him know that Michigan didn't have a midyear spot open for him (he wants to enroll in January) so David is starting to look around again.  He was just offered this week by Texas and Nebraska.  The Nebraska offer is a mid year enrollment offer.

AL RB Kingston Davis we also know will take all his officials.  I'm less worried about his recruitment but you never know what will happen when kids get on campus.  (Hello Louisville Basketball! - How about that National Championship back!)

RB/WR Chris Evans is expected to take an official to Purdue in December.  Which leads me to believe he is taking that visit as a favor to his mom or something.

  • CO DE Carlo Kemp has Michigan and ND neck and neck in his recruitment.  We should hear something soon as says he wants to end his recruitment soon rather then later.

  • Expect many of the high profile guys still left on the Michigan's board will now probably wait to announce their decisions at All Star games.  Let's hope Kareem Walker isn't one of them! Word is OSU doesn't expect Walker to be in their class.

Worried about our punter?  Don't be, the kid has a great head on his shoulders.
