So Michigan gets to visit Jerry World/Cowboys Stadium again but this time with a different sport and an Elite 8 bid on the line against Kansas. I wonder what it will be like playing basketball under that huge video screen? I like our match-up much better against Kansas then I did against Alabama in that other sport.
I hope our shooters don't struggle with playing in such a large stadium. It really isn't a dome, right?
The game is on Friday at 7:37, which gives Michigan an extra day for practice and travel.
- What the hell is wrong with Minnesota? Someone please tell me they didn't fire Tubby Smith today. He was the best coach on the entire campus. When they were trying to hire a football coach they said "we want to make a Tubby type of hire". They clearly didn't when they hired Jerry Kill and now they go and fire Tubby for playing a close game that would have gotten them to the sweet 16? He should be getting an extension, not looking for work. I guess they will be trying to make a "Jerry Kill type of hire" for their next basketball coach. The Minnesota AD better hire Shaka Smart or this was one of the worst coaching decisions ever. I expect Minnesota will have to fight UCLA for him, if he even wants to leave. He turned down Illinois last year and Minnesota is clearly not a better job, UCLA is.
