Big Ten Preview Week 8

Last week we only had 5 games to preview, this week it's the same amount.   When UCLA and USC get here it's going to take me all week to get this post out.  😏

Iowa @ #2 Ohio State (-30): What a strange game as this is: the #1 Defense vs. the #1 Offense.  The problem is Iowa has a terrible offense.   This is a huge line when you're playing a top ranked defense.  OSU 37 Iowa 7

Indiana @ Rutgers (-3): These two teams have a combine 6 wins and 7 losses.  Please don't watch, unless you're scouting for the Rutgers - Michigan game.  Rutgers 14 IU 10

Purdue @ Wisconsin (-2.5): Is Vegas overestimating Wisconsin?  Purdue is decent and will make a run at the lowly Big Ten West.  It's been a long time since Wisconsin has been this sad.  On a side note, when Michigan was struggling, remember we wanted the consistency of the Badger Program?  Purdue 31 Wisconsin 17

Northwestern @ Maryland (-14): Tua 2 has a bad knee and we need it healthy if they're going to upset OSU later this season.  I thought the backup QB was pretty good late in the Michigan game.  It's getting late early for Fitz.  Maryland 41 Northwestern 12

Minnesota @ #16 Penn State (-4): Poor ABC will have two weeks of primetime stinkers hoping for a large viewing audience for the home team.  This game was set up to be a really good game before the calendar turned to October.  Golden Gophers are 4-0 in September, 0-2 in October.  I hope the Nittany Lions hold on to their sandwiches.  Penn State 24 Minnesota 21

  • Germon Green says he met the GOAT Charles Woodson during the Maryland game when Woodson came over to give him coaching on his technique.  Love that!
  • The Big House will get new video boards and an enhanced sound system for next season.
  • Jimmy is heading back to the 49'ers this Sunday to celebrate the 2012 Super Bowl team.  Good for both parties for putting the BS in the past.
  • Colorado State Plays Hawaii this week!
  • IU has lost 700 games in program history. 😲
