Wolverine Wednesday: Contract Signed

Warde didn't want to give Sherrone a contract until Michigan lost a football game.   Of course, that is not accurate.  Who knows what it takes to get a head coach contract approved at Michigan?  I'm sure it has to go through the Regents and everyone.  Many folks didn't know Bo didn't have a contract until late in his career.

Sherrone has signed his contract and now has to worry about winning a Big Ten Championship.

  • Denard, Braylon, Mike Martin, and Shawn Crable are suing the NCAA and BTN for $50M for lost NIL rights.  Good luck guys.
  • Can we have a Butch Davis CAM this weekend?
  • Jake Moody is the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week

I hope the contract with Sherrone does not give away the farm, or it's like A Charley wise contract, where Notre Dame owed him for 8 or 9 years for a 10 year contract when they got dissatisfied with him.

Hopefully I am wrong, but is Sherrone the right guy? Or a glorified religious freak that was a yes man for Harbaugh, did Sherrone give the Texas coach a bear hug after getting soundly beaten?

Also, did Texas lay off Michigan is second Half (2 nd stringers), because we won the second half. Meaningful or meaningless?

Arkansas State? .... oh really? All the local high schools too busy to play in the Big house? I said I gave up but the contract issue stirred me up!

Like you, I'm questioning whether Sherrone is the right guy. Hopefully there's a program friendly buy out in the contract. If the season does go off the rails, the only leeway I'd be willing to cut him is he really didn't have an adequate time to put a staff together. Most of the better assistants had been picked up. So if Michigan's season is a disappointment, then we better hear Sherrone going thru Schembechler hall showing guys the door. Just don't think the coaching staff, top to bottom is up to the task.

It was the big 2 little 8 for a long time. I was kid, listening to Bob Ufer on the radio and there was only 1 game on the schedule back then and it was the last game of the year and it was televised! Grew up listening to Huckleby deep, and Davis close, and Ricky the Peach Leach under center.........lol
